Djokovic advances to the 1-8 finals of Wimbledon

Novak Djokovic, being a three-time current champion, successfully advanced to the fourth round of the Wimbledon tournament, having won a brilliant victory over compatriot Miomir Kecmanovic.

Friday’s win marked his 330th Grand Slam victory. Novak Djokovic is looking forward to beating Pete Sampras, the seven-time Wimbledon champion.

According to Djokovic, he has been playing at the highest level for many years and winning Grand Slams. He is grateful for his luck, thanks to which he wins many victories and demonstrates the stability of his performances.

The athlete lost set in his first winning game with Kwon Soon-woo and also he lost seven games to Thanasi Kokkinakis. Nevertheless, Novak believes that he is playing better and better, and successfully achieves his goals.

In tournament play, Djokovic strives to take tennis to a new level, to get more personal achievements, by setting ever higher goals and achieving the results.

Friday’s victory was the 22th in a row in matches on grass. He last lost to Marin Cilic in the Queen’s final four years ago. According to the athlete, he started well and strong, intense and focused, but the only mistake was made in the third set with a score of 5:2.

Having started the games in the debut main draw of the Grand Slam tournaments, number 104 defeated Nikoloz Basilashvili from Georgia, who finished the 22nd with a score of 6-4, 6-3, 6-4.
